Joann M. Kiser

2015_board_JKJoann, born in northern Kentucky, has been a lifelong resident of the Greater Cincinnati area and currently resides in Clermont County. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northern Kentucky University in 1980 and a Master in Library Science degree from the University of Kentucky in 1989. In addition, Joann was certified as a Professional in Human Resources in 2007.

She made her career with the Clermont County Public Library for 30 years, serving as manager at five library branch locations throughout the county. Joann’s contributions to Clermont County Public Library included work as committee chair for staff recognition, staff wellness, reference training and the book cart drill team.

Ms. Kiser’s community activities:

  • Volunteered for Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Cincinnati; active Big Sister during the 1980’s.
  • Represented Clermont County Public Library on the Even Start Advisory Board from 1992 – 1995.
  • Trained volunteer tutor for the Literacy Council of Clermont and Brown Counties from 1986 – 1990.
  • Member of the Board of Trustees of the Literacy Council for Clermont and Brown Counties since 2004 – 2011.
  • Secretary of Literacy Council Board of Trustees during 2014 and 2015.
